Euan is Head of Lighting for the National Theatre of Scotland where he coordinates lighting and power requirements for all National Theatre of Scotland productions. He works with Lighting Designers, Production managers and technicians to turn lighting ideas and plans into reality whilst keeping close eye on equipment maintenance, budget, and staff requirements. Euan also has a strong interest in policy development in the areas of accessibility, inclusivity and mental health.
With the National Theatre of Scotland, Euan has worked on shows such as Red Dust Road, Pages of the Sea, Dear Europe, Eve, Adam and My Left Right Foot. Previous to his current position Euan has worked for the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh as Head of Lighting, Sound and Video where he worked with many designers and directors on a large number of shows including; Caucasian Chalk Circle, Waiting for Godot, A View From The Bridge, The Beauty Queen of Leenane and Pressure. Before The Lyceum Euan also worked at the Traverse Theatre (new writing), Pitlochry Festival Theatre and the Macrobert Arts Centre.
As well as technically coordinating in his field, Euan has also undertaken several Lighting, Sound and Video designs throughout his career and has a strong interest in creative practice and its relationship with diverse audiences.
